In the year 2000, Pro Tools became the standard of the motion picture business, and Cerny/American shifted our digital editing system to that format.  The Sound to Picture Theatre has a fully automated Pro Tools editing console.  Class A Discrete preamps were added for recording.  The theatre can accommodate all aspects of sound to picture work.  Automatic recall makes ADR (automatic dialogue replacement) easy and efficient for producer and talent alike.  Cerny/American has exceptional Foley capabilities for creating sound effects.  Additionally our sound effects libraries are among the best in the country.  Because of our digitally networked studios, several engineers can work on a project at the same time, just like the major film studios.  We are very proud of the work done in our theatre.  Recently a film we did all the sound finishing on, Two Weeks One Year, was selected as a finalist of the Los Angeles Film Festival.
