So in July of 1986, JoBe created the production company,
Cerny/American Creative, as an umbrella organization for him
and his creative partners. The company would finance the
partner’s individual projects, handle accounting and union paperwork,
and provide basic office facilities. The goal was to eventually
build studios and create a downtown Chicago
presence.

the company was just a group of free-lance writer/performers
who were working out of their homes. But the ultimate vision

warrant a big sounding name.
